Gather
The Keeper and the Dell has always had its roots in gathering ~ from the time the Gamekeeper lived here with his own family, celebrating the seasons and sharing skills and stories to today, where we gently host a small number of heartfelt events each year.
We’ve also held sacred space for families to say goodbye to loved ones with grace, hosted quiet gatherings after big life shifts, and welcomed small groups who simply want to be together ~ in their own way, in their own time. From baby showers to quiet moments of remembrance. These are the life events that truly matter ~ the ones that call your people together to honour love, loss, legacy, and new beginnings.
We only host one event at a time, and no more than a dozen a year, so that every celebration receives the full attention and soul it deserves. Whether you’re planning a relaxed wedding weekend or a gathering that doesn’t fit into any traditional box, we’re here to help you shape a day that feels right for you. Our secluded setting, on the edge of ancient woodland, offers space to wander, connect, and breathe. Your booking can include just one or two of our beautifully curated spaces, or hired in its entirety. We can offer ~
An 18th-century Barn with Saloon Bar
Covered Courtyard and Chapel Studio
Camp Kitchen and Saloon Bar
Peaceful Dell and Birch Gardens
Our handmade Vintage Marquee (seats 75)
Pavilion for outside catering
Firepit, festoon lighting & vintage furnishings
Option to STAY overnight in Keeper’s Cabin and the Huts (Sleeps 8)
or Camping in our Birch Garden.
We’re not a ‘venue’ in the usual sense. We don’t do back-to-back bookings or hand you a list of rules. Instead, we offer gentle guidance from your first enquiry, and thoughtful planning support to help you shape your celebration ~ whether it’s wild and creative, or simple and still.
We can recommend local caterers, florists, stylists and musicians ~ or you’re free to bring your own. You’re welcome to use our vintage tables, wooden chairs, festoon lighting and curated props to make the space feel your own. And because this is our home, we live nearby ~ close enough if you need anything, but always respectful of your privacy.
